"In my experience any amount of time you put into a cause no matter how little it may
be  is always good!
"

My name is Karen and I am a HUGE General Hospital Fan!
What I like about my Fridays is that I get to do something with my time to give
back to my community. For others they usually use this day to go out and enjoy
their time at the movies or friends. In my case, I go volunteering at the Humane
Society! With the tough schedule that I have with school it is always hard to put
more time for this cause, but if I could I would.

The animals definitely appreciate it when you can find them good homes and take
care of their welfare. There is no doubt that animals bring the best in people!
There isn't a Friday where I'm having a bad day ever! I help mostly with the vet and vet tech, but at
times I go do other various stuff to help with the Humane Society. I have been doing this for 4 yrs
already. When helping animals there is always something to do and never a dull moment.

This cause always warms my heart, especially when I know that what I am doing is giving a pet a
chance to find someone who can truly love it as much as I do.

"A big plus for me was that the organization that runs my son's after school
program, City Year, made this happen."

My name is Chrissie and I love GH and that crazy couple JoLivia.
I have
taken part in the
NYC Aids Walk for as long as I can remember and I am
constantly donating to the American Cancer Society.

This October, I was able to do something new that I have always wanted to
do, beautify a local school. I volunteered to take part in iParticipate and will
continue to do so. I spent a Saturday alongside some stars from All My
Children & One Life To Live changing the inside of an elementary school.

It was an amazing experience and I really wish I could have been there to
see the children's faces on Monday morning.
