Jonathan Jackson began his acting career at the age of 11 and
achieved almost instant success. After a
few national television commercials, he landed a choice contract role as Luke
and Laura's son "Lucky Spencer" on ABC's GENERAL HOSPITAL. This role earned him 3 Emmy Awards as well as 3 additional nominations and 4 Hollywood Reporter Young Star Awards. To the delight of fans, Jonathan has returned
to General Hospital and is currently reprising
his role as “Lucky Spencer!”
Jonathan’s film
credits include Miramax’ HAVANA NIGHTS, the independent
thriller RIDING THE BULLET based on the Stephen King novel and Warner Brothers'
INSOMNIA starring Al Pacino. Jonathan also starred in Columbia
Tristar's DEEP END OF THE OCEAN co-starring Michelle Pfeiffer, the independent
feature TRUE RIGHTS, Universal's THE SMILING SUICIDE CLUB (a Jim Sheridan
Production), SKELETONS IN THE CLOSET co-starring Treat Williams and Linda Hamilton and CAMP
NOWHERE. Jonathan appeared in Disney's TUCK EVERLASTING as Jesse Tuck. He also starred with Judy Davis
in the Lifetime made for television movie, “A Little Thing Called Murder.”
Jonathan
just finished production on the independent film “Kalamity” in which he stars in
with Nick Stahl.
In
addition to acting, Jonathan and his brother Richard Lee Jackson co-wrote and
directed the short film CRYSTAL CLEAR which won 3 awards in the Brooklyn
Film Festival including best dramatic short, a Coen Brothers Award for duo-film
makers, and best actor for the film’s lead actor.
Jonathan
and Richard also scored the film CRYSTAL CLEAR. Their musical resume continues to grow as
their original songs as scores appear in such movies as TRUE RIGHTS, SKELETONS
IN THE CLOSET, and RIDING THE BULLET as well as other upcoming projects.
He currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife and two
children.
While Jonathan keeps busy professionally and with his family, he also makes time to support his favorite causes: "
Water for Life", "
House of Destiny", "
Compassion International", and
AIDS Walk Los Angeles.
There is a community out there, girls 11 to 19, who according to the
YWCA face a 1 in 4 risk of sexual assault. More than 550,000 registered sex
offenders are on the streets and teenage
girls are pretty much on their own because parents can’t be everywhere,

mission of keeping teenage girls safe from assault, abduction, and even
