Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Leven Rambin was bitten by the acting
bug when she began performing in her school plays. She studied at the
Houston School of Film and Theatre before relocating to Los Angeles,
where she was cast on “All My Children,” her first professional acting
role. In 2006 she received her first Daytime Emmy nomination in the
Younger Leading Actress category. In March 2007, Leven began juggling dual roles on AMC. She
continued to play the autistic Lily Montgomery, as well as her
street-smart but lovable older half sister, Ava Benton. She later
appeared on an episode of Law & Order: SVU and NBC’s new series
Lipstick Jungle. In June of 2008, she joined the cast of Terminator: The
Sarah Connor Chronicles as a series regular, playing the character
Riley Dawson. In November 2009 Leven made her debut as Sloan Riley on Grey's Anatomy/Private Practice.
Leven, who portrayed a character with
autism on All My Children, is proud to raise public
awareness of autism and support Cure Autism Now/Autism Speaks research, treatment
and education programs. "Being involved is not only a way for
me to give back to the families that have so warmly accepted my
portrayal of autism, but a chance for me to help raise funds for an
organization committed to a better quality of life for individuals
affected by autism—Cure Autism Now". Shortly after Leven's involvement with Cure Autism Now began, Cure Autism Now joined forces with Autism Speaks, creating a
unified autism
community better prepared to ensure public awareness of and is responsive to the national healthcare emergency that is autism. To learn more about autism and to find help and resources click
