Molly Burnett was born and raised in the Denver, CO suburb of Littleton. Growing up her life revolved around acting, calling the Denver Community Theater home. After graduating from high
school Burnett moved to New York City but quickly packed her bags for Hollywood. Days of Our Lives picked Molly to play the role
of Melanie Layton in 2008.
Molly supports many causes and charities but most recently has become quite involved with Invisible Children. As a non-profit they work to transform apathy into activism. By documenting the
lives of those living in regions of conflict and injustice, they hope to educate
and inspire individuals in the Western world to use their unique voice for
change. Their media creates an opportunity for people to become part of a
grassroots movement that intelligently responds to what's happening in the
world. For more information on Invisible Children, click
