We'd like to introduce you to
www.fansgivingback.org, a new interactive website created to bring celebrities,
fans, causes & charities together. After reading about us we hope you will
grant us authorization to create a celebrity page for you and your
favorite causes & charities.
While our website
is interactive, the content is controlled by the fansgivingback team which
allows us to maintain the integrity of the information within our site. This
control allows us to provide a place on the web where celebrities know
that their fans will be viewing accurate information on themselves and the
causes & charities they support. Fans come to our site knowing that the
information on the celebrity pages come from the celebrities themselves, creating
a feeling of unity and connection towards the causes & charities.
Celebrity pages are created
only upon receiving permission from the celebrity and/or their designated
representative. Using information provided by the celebrity/celebrity
rep or obtained from authorized web sites a short bio, photo(s) and
information on causes & charities we create a web page entry. The
links within the celebrity pages lead readers directly to the official websites
of the respective causes. Celebrity involvement can be as simple granting
permission or as involved as provided all content and updates as desired. While
we are flexible on how content is provided, our one requirement is
that the finished product is an accurate representation of the celebrity.
Fans email their pictures,
experiences and stories on how they volunteer and give back for inclusion
on the website's "Fans Who Give Back" section. Once we have the fan's
permission to publish names and photos, the submission piece is edited only for
clarity which allows the personality and enthusiasm of the fan to shine
authentically.
As you look about our
website, you will notice that the majority of the current content is centered
on Daytime shows, actors and their fans. Our original intent was to start with
this genre and grow into other entertainment forums. Within a week of starting
the website, we received requests to include several actors with prime time and
film credits. We realized that to delay the growth of our website would be at
odds with our original vision of bringing celebrities, fans, causes &
charities together.
While the website has been in
existence for just over a week, we are proud to have created pages for several
of Daytime's biggest stars. We also have begun a partnership with
Associated Television International (producers of the 36th &
37th Annual Daytime Emmys). ATI has granted us full usage rights on
their media items relating to "Daytime Gives Back" a documentary with
several of Daytime's brightest stars including Susan Lucci, Kelly Monaco, Anthony
Geary and Montel Williams. Portions of this documentary were shown at the 36th
Annual Daytime Emmy Award Show this past August. The endorsement of ATI along
with usage permission of their material instantly brought us to a new level of
credibility within the Daytime community.
We are offering you the
opportunity of having a celebrity page on www.fansgivingback.org . There
absolutely no cost to the celebrity or fan to have content on our website. If
you would like to participate or have more questions, please contact me at admin@fansgivingback.org . This
email has protected access to ensure celebrity contact confidentiality. You can also find me on Twitter @fansgivingback
