Ryan & Trista Sutter
(The Bachelorette)
Trista Sutter was the original "Bachelorette." Trista met her husband, Colorado firefighter Ryan Sutter on the show. The two married in a televised ceremony in December of 2003 and now have two children, their son Max, born in 2007 and their daughter Blakesley, born in 2009. The family lives in the Colorado Rockies, just outside of Vail.

Both Ryan and Trista are active in local, regional, national and international causes. Some of which include:

Grassroot Soccer was founded by former professional soccer players in 2002. GRS trains African soccer stars, coaches, teacher and peer educators in the world's most HIV-affected countries to deliver an interactive HIV prevention and life skills curriculum to youth. The Vail Valley Charitable Fund (VVCF) which helps people who live and work in Eagle County who have overwhelming financial needs due to medical crisis. To date, the organization has assisted six hundred individuals and families in Eagle County, and has raised and dispersed more than $5 million dollars. For more information click here

Fertile Hope a national, nonprofit organization dedicated to providing reproductive information, support and hope to cancer patients and survivors whose medical treatments present the risk of infertility. They do this through programs promoting awareness, education, financial assistance, research and support. To learn more click here





There are several ways to join Trista and Ryan in their efforts to raise awareness about Fertile Hope:

Spread the word: Adopt a local hospital or cancer center by supplying the oncology department's waiting area, patient information library and hospital staff with Fertile Hope's educational materials. To find out how, click here
