Fan Events
Thank you so much to those who participated in our first Signature Auction benefitting AIDS Walk NYC. You were part of the thousands that helped to raise over 5.7 million dollars for the GMHC and other organizations in the New York area.
Some other cool auctions can be found at www.charitybuzz.com and eBay! NFL fans be sure to check out www.nflauction.nfl.com.
Another fun way to give back is to participate in fan events. For fans of Daytime, keep an eye out for announcements of fan club weekends where different events and appearances benefit the hosting stars favorite event. Sports fans, want to get closer to your team? Check out the home page of your team and look for a CHARITY or COMMUNITY link.
To participate in fan events, you needn't look far. Take for example, the Ronnie Marmo fan weekend in Michigan. This unique fan weekend will benefit Theater 68 and the Desi Geestman Foundation. To find out more about this exciting event, click

We have some more updates coming your way! In the meantime, don't forget that even a little giving back can make a world of difference!

Fans Fans Fans!
Hello Friends!
It’s been a bit since we’ve updated. As a small volunteered base site, illnesses can wreak havoc on site updates. We appreciate your patience and we look forward to continuing our efforts in bringing Celebrities, Fans, Charities and Causes together!
New on the site:
Fans! Fans! Fans! We’ve revamped the fan section. Take a peek at some of our fans who give back. If you give back, please email Tayja, our fan coordinator! She can be reached at
Tayja@fansgivingback.org
Celebs! Celebs! Celebs! We'll be adding several this weekend! Can't wait to share them with you!
This week’s feature is Kids Helping Kids. We’ll be doing more on them soon, but we wanted to help them get the word out on one of their upcoming events.
Look for a revised AIDS Walk page to debut soon as well. Fansgivingback is proud to announce the formation of an AIDS Walk NYC team. Think about joining us! The walk is Sunday May 16th!
Again, we appreciate your patience and hope you share our excitement as the website continues to grow!

Jonathan Jackson, Derk Cheetwood, Martha Byrne
It's been a busy week for us!
We've added pages for General Hospital's
Jonathan Jackson
and
Derk Cheetwood
. We also are proud to feature a page for one of Daytime's most influential people,
Martha Byrne
. Please stop by their pages to see the nifty ways that you can give back. One has a 99 cent music download, one has a way to give back that doesn't cost you a dime if you're a California resident and the other's main charity has many, many ways to give back.
It seems like every one is trying to do *something* to help Haiti. Keep your eye on twitter...we'll be retweeting ways you can give back without draining your wallet. Many celebs are offering up money for each new follower--you follow, they donate. Not bad eh?
46nyc has come up with a gorgeous t-shirt for Haiti--it's featured on our homepage. I have a feeling we'll be seeing
Chrishell Stause
sporting one in no time.

Fansgivingback has started a
"To Haiti With Love"
campaign. The first iniative is Daytime based, so if you're a fan of Daytime, check it out! If you're not a fan of Daytime, we'd still like to have your support-we'll be doing more fun things to raise money! "To Haiti With Love" is being supported by an elementary school in Western New York. The kids have brainstormed and have come up with some great ideas on how to raise money to donate to the "To Haiti With Love" campaign which benefits Operation USA. We'll be following the progress of these young people as they learn to give back.
Coming up this weekend:
A new look for our fans who give back-we'll let you know when it's up! If you give back, please email Igaveback@fansgivingback.org We now have an admin dedicated to you and she's working on some great things that great people are doing--monkey drive, Supernatural fans, Jimmy Wayne fans--there's something for everyone! Also coming up this weekend, we will be adding new pages--we have about 30 of them in editing, so look for the pace to start picking up!
Have a great Friday!

5,000 miles
The distance between North Wales, UK and Hollywood, California is over 5,000 miles.
The cries from Haiti are heard by both.
In North Wales, a writer uses her pen to help.
In Hollywood, an actress uses her hands to help.
They don't know each other (yet).
Together, a celebrity and her fan do what they can to ease the pain of a country in crisis.
Haiti.
Meet the writer and the actress. And do what you can to help.
~Mèsi
PS: Our "Haiti" tab will be updated as new ways to give back become available.
